Liposculpture / Liposuction
Liposculpture
/ Lipoaspiration is a surgical technique that allows the extraction
of the deep layer of sub- cutaneous fat from places where
it appears unsightly and excessive restoring a harmonious
line to the silhouette and the oval shape of the face (double
chin).
Indications
-
Localised deep masses of fat that do not disappear with weight
loss (face and body).
Technique
The operation, which is performed
under local anaesthetic tumescente ou générale, consists
of small incisions made by scalpel which allow the introduction
of the canular (4-8 mm) under the skin into the adipose tissue
which is extracted by means of a simple syringe or a suction
machine.
The practitioner
performs forward and backward movements to extract the fat
as efficiently as possible. When the desired result is obtained,
the aspiration is stopped. The small incisions need one or
two stitches, a compressive surgical dressing or garment must
be applied to the treated areas.
Programme
-
The operation is carried out in one or several seances according
on the individual case: this is decided with the dermatologist
during the consultation.
-
The compressive bandage must be worn for at least a month
to exclude all risks or oedema.
Results
-
Spectacular and long lasting reshaping of the silhouette and
oval of the face.
Advantages of the technique
-
Spectacular results often with only one operation.
- Definitive results provided there is no new weight gain.
Interessting facts
-
Liposculpture / Liposuction does not replace dieting for patients
that wish to loose weight. Nor is it an answer for skin problems
such as sagging skin and tissue slackness after the age of
40, stretch marks or orange peel skin (cellulite), for which
the Lémanic Clinic offer other treatments.
